Job summary

Pure Talent Group is seeking a Programme / Portfolio Manager to oversee multiple infrastructure programmes in the energy sector. The role involves leading delivery, managing client relationships and supporting bid activity.

Hybrid/remote options are available with UK travel. The package includes a basic salary of £85,000–£90,000, a company car or car allowance, plus benefits.

Programme / Portfolio Manager – Energy Infrastructure

North West (Flexible – UK travel required, hybrid/remote considered)

£85,000 – £90,000 basic salary + Company Car + Benefits Package

The Role

You will be responsible for overseeing multiple infrastructure programmes across the energy sector, ensuring successful delivery while also supporting the development of new and existing client relationships.

• Leading the delivery of multiple concurrent infrastructure projects/programmes
• Acting as a senior client-facing representative with Tier 1 energy and utilities clients
• Supporting work‑winning activity including bids, tenders, and framework development
• Overseeing project performance, commercial outcomes, and delivery risk
• Managing and coordinating Project Managers and operational delivery teams
• Driving programme governance, reporting, and strategic planning
• Ensuring effective resource planning across live projects and frameworks
• Working closely with internal leadership teams to support business growth

About You

We are looking for someone with strong experience in the energy, utilities, or major infrastructure sector, ideally with exposure to Tier 1 clients and framework delivery environments.

• Programme Manager / Portfolio Manager / Operations Manager
• Senior Project Manager or Contracts Manager within infrastructure
• Background in energy, utilities, rail electrification, or civil engineering

Key Experience Required

• Strong understanding of energy or utilities infrastructure (e.g. transmission, distribution, substations, or civils)
• Experience working with or alongside major clients such as National Grid or DNOs
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and framework delivery environments
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong commercial awareness with involvement in bids or work‑winning activity
• Excellent stakeholder and client relationship management skills
• Leadership experience across operational delivery teams
