Reporting to the Head of IT & Risk within Business Transformation & IT, you’ll establish, coordinate and oversee complex, cross-functional business change programmes. You’ll initially focus on a significant business transformation programme while supporting Innserve’s wider transformation portfolio. Working with business owners, Business Analysts, subject-matter experts, IT teams, suppliers and delivery partners, you’ll create the plans, accountability and coordination that enable the right people to deliver- not undertake every element yourself. There are no direct reports initially.
Also within the role:
Define and plan: Turn priorities and requirements into proposals, clear objectives, scope, outcomes and success measures. Maintain an integrated roadmap with realistic schedules, milestones, critical paths, resources, dependencies and decision points.
Govern and control: Establish proportionate governance, clear responsibilities, coordinate programme boards and reviews, report progress and manage scope, change, decisions and corrective action against agreed outcomes, milestones and budgets
Coordinate delivery: Bring business, operational, technical and supplier workstreams together across analysis, process and solution design, option selection, development, configuration, data, testing, implementation and early-life support. Resolve dependencies and resource conflicts, uphold quality standards and keep ownership with the appropriate leads.
Prepare the business for change: Coordinate training, engagement and communication, address people, process, policy, data and organisational impacts, assess readiness and arrange acceptance, handover and transition into business as usual.
Anticipate risks: Maintain risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies with clear owners, actions and review dates. Challenge mitigations, identify cross-workstream risks, escalating significance etc.
Improve how we deliver: Keep clear documentation and records of requirements, plans, designs, decisions and approvals. Capture lessons and improve standards, templates and programme and project management practices across Innserve.
Significant experience managing complex, cross-functional programmes or large-scale business change projects, coordinating business, operational and technical teams.
The ability to translate strategic priorities and broad requirements into structured programmes, connected workstreams and integrated plans, managing dependencies and competing priorities.
Strong programme and project planning, governance, reporting and financial management skills, alongside risk, issue, change and dependency management.
Experience facilitating workshops with senior stakeholders and subject-matter experts, and establishing or improving programme and project management standards.
A strong understanding of the full change lifecycle, from analysis and design through implementation, adoption and transition into business as usual.
Experience establishing accountability in a matrix-management environment and working with third-party suppliers and delivery partners.
A practical, collaborative leadership style, with the confidence to challenge constructively, make sound judgements, bring clarity to uncertainty and hold others accountable without direct line-management authority.
Experience of programmes involving process redesign, system implementation, data, integration or automation.
A degree-level qualification, a relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience in similar roles.
Experience delivering operational transformation in a service-led organisation, ideally within field service, scheduling, resource planning or high volume customer service operations.
Experience coordinating testing, training, communications, operational readiness and implementation.
Experience identifying, measuring and realising benefits, developing business cases and assessing delivery options.
Experience of contract negotiation, commercial management or supplier performance management.
Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches.
A recognised programme or project management qualification, such as MSP, PRINCE2, APM, PMP or equivalent. Change management, business analysis or Agile delivery qualifications would also be advantageous.
