Job description

We have an excellent opportunity for a Programme Coordinator to join this renowned charity in Tooting, London who provides business support to young people by providing dedicated business coaches, workshops, one to one sessions, tailored business programmes, spaces to test trade from and business mentoring.

About the company
Our client transforms young lives through enterprise by offering holistic and personalised business guidance and support to in-need marginalised young entrepreneurs across London, aged 16 to 30 through workshops, programmes and 1:1 business coaching. They work in collaboration with young people to enable them to start their own business or move into employment or/and education and training. They aim to develop approaches that empower, support and encourage young people to build confidence, follow their aspirations and fulfil their potential.

About the role
For the role of Programme Coordinator, you will support the Programme Manager to deliver multiple support interventions successfully including business and employability programmes, volunteer programmes and events. Since some of the interventions run in the evening, the role would require you to work some evenings to support the delivery of programmes.

You must be able to confidently communicate with different groups of people, enjoys organising and implementing plans, and has a strong initiative with attention to detail to deliver meaningful work to support charitable objectives and your main responsibilities will include:

  • Support the Programme Manager to implement all company interventions including programmes, events and outreach engagements
  • Support young people over the course of their support journey including weekly check-ins, answering queries, signposting and monitoring progress of each learner
  • Support the Programme Manager with gathering data and information for reporting across the year
  • Work with the Marketing Co-ordinator to highlight young people’s stories
  • Recruit and co-ordinate a pool of volunteers to help deliver programmes
  • Support ongoing recruitment and outreach activities
  • Support the development of programmes
  • Ensure the content on the charity website is engaging and up to date

About you
To be successful for the role of Programme Coordinator, you must be organised, pro-active and enjoy creating seamless and engaging experiences and journeys for young entrepreneurs to turn their business ideas into reality and you must be / have:

  • Minimum of 1 year programme co-ordination experience
  • Demonstrable organisational and co-ordination skills
  • Excellent communication skills with individuals and groups
  • Experience and understanding of working with young people from a wide range of challenging backgrounds and the barriers they face

About the hours & rewards
For the role of Programme Coordinator there is an excellent salary on offer of £24,000 to £28,000 per annum depending on experience plus you will receive:
