About Our Client

Our client is a medium-sized organisation operating within the Energy & Natural Resources sector. They are committed to implementing cutting-edge technological solutions to enhance operational performance and maintain their industry leadership.

Job Description

The contractor will be responsible for reporting against a programme of projects and activities that are required to achieve the optimisation of the business. Each of the projects has an existing Executive company lead; the individual will be responsible for liaising with that lead and reporting against a delivery programme. The role is expected to last between 12 and 24 months. These projects are in various stages of development and or completion, and may include:



o Financial restructuring

o Coordinating potential M&A activity

o Delivery of term commercial contracts

o Delivery of energy from waste and carbon capture construction projects

o Delivery of ancillary energy projects such as private wires and district heating

o Communications planning



The candidates will work with the EQT deal team and alongside senior colleagues including: CEO, CFO, General Counsel, Head of Corporate Finance and MD Operations.



Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage multiple technology programmes from initiation to completion.
  • Ensure projects align with organisational objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to ensure successful delivery.
  • Monitor risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure programme success.
  • Communicate progress and outcomes effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Programme Manager should have:

  • Evidence of successful private sector programme and project delivery.
  • Experience and understanding of programme reporting in the context of business optimisation.
  • Understand the end to end business sale processes (from simplifying the business, preparing reports, legals, financials, data and data room and preparedness for due diligence).
  • Has worked in a private equity environment
  • Strong project management skills, including budgeting and resource planning.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving organisational goals.
