Overview

Programme Manager – Location: Cardiff. Salary: Full time 40 hour salary is £34,673 - Pro rata for part time = £16.67 per hour. Hours: 30 hours per week (over 4 days, 7.5 hours per day). This is a 30 hours per week post over a 4 day week. Temporary position for at least 3 months with a good possibility of extension and future option of a permanent contract for the right candidate.

What you'll be doing
  • Leading and motivating a team of support workers to deliver exceptional services
  • Designing and coordinating innovative programmes that focus on choice, control, and positive outcomes
  • Building strong partnerships with local agencies and community organisations
  • Managing budgets and resources effectively to ensure the service runs smoothly
  • Monitoring performance to meet contractual requirements and high professional standards
  • Deputising for the Service Manager when needed
What we're looking for
  • Experience managing services for vulnerable people, ideally within homelessness or supported housing
  • Strong people leadership skills - able to inspire, coach, and support staff
  • A track record of developing effective, person-centred support programmes
  • Good understanding of the homelessness sector, including legislation and best practice
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence with budgets, reporting, and using IT systems
  • Commitment to the charity's mission, values, and trauma-informed approach
  • Driver with vehicle is essential
  • DBS on the live update service is highly desirable
