Job description

Join us as a Programme Management Office at Barclays, where you'll play a role in enabling data-driven decisions to optimise value within Wholesale risk and support the annual planning process. This role requires extensive experience working in an agile PMO environment to support and enable agile project delivery. To be successful as a Programme Management Office, you should have experience with:

  • PMO / VMO in an Agile delivery model.
  • Producing high-quality PowerPoint documentation.
  • Producing Agile Metrics.

Additional valued skills include:

  • Supporting Agile Ceremonies.
  • Practical experience with JIRA.
  • Strong Excel skills for data manipulation.

This role will be based in our Glasgow office.

Purpose of the role

To support change delivery managers in delivering successful projects while ensuring project management processes align with controls and governance standards, and projects support the organisation's strategic objectives.

Accountabilities

  • Supporting change delivery managers to ensure programme compliance with the Barclays Control Framework, including oversight of controls and governance standards.
  • Creating and implementing standardised PMO processes and methodologies aligned with controls and governance standards to support successful project delivery.
  • Monitoring project performance, tracking progress, identifying risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies, and reporting project status to senior management.
  • Maintaining project documentation, including plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and currency.
  • Facilitating project governance, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and effective management of risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
  • Providing change management framework training to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Continuously improving project management practices through identifying areas for enhancement and implementing improvements.
