UCEN Manchester is seeking an experienced Programme Leader to drive our dynamic Technical Theatre provision. You'll lead curriculum development, support student success, and oversee training in lighting, sound, stage management, and production. Bring your industry expertise and academic vision to shape a hands-on, industry-led learning experience. Collaborate with leading professionals and equip learners with the skills to thrive in live performance and events. We have an exciting opportunity at our City Centre campus to join our Performing Arts Department as a Programme Leader in Technical Theatre on a permanent, full time (35 hours per week) basis.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to:
  • Degree
  • Current and valid industry specialism
  • Certificate of education or PGCE
  • English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above
  • Proven track record of effective teaching in delivering in subject specialism or current valid industry specialism
  • Minimum of 3 years' teaching experience or minimum of 3 years current valid industry specialism
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience of leading a team
  • Proven experience of working as a team
  • Proven track record of achieving delivery targets and plans
  • Accurate and timely reports and records
  • Positive contribution to planning & development processes
  • High quality positive learner satisfaction.
