£33,210 - £39,419 FTE (£20,195.27 - £23,971.01 pro-rata per annum)

22.5 hours per week

About the role

The Department of Forensics, Crime and Humanities is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Programme Leader for Psychology. Ideally with an industry background, the post holder will be responsible for leading our WJEC Criminology and L3 BTEC Psychology components which form part of our Crime and Society pathway.

You will have key roles in IAG, recruitment, delivery and assessment as well as contributing to our learners' wider personal development such as volunteering, work experience and industry knowledge, skills and behaviours. There will be opportunities to organise and take trips and visits with our learners. There may also be opportunities to teach Psychology on other pathways such as Access to HE.


About the person

The successful candidate will bring with them, innovative and engaging teaching methods, industry experience and the ability to set aspirational targets for our learners. Ideally coming with a Psychology/Criminology qualification, you should also have:

GCSE Maths and English (grade C/4 and above) or equivalent.
Be proactive in seeking CPD opportunities
Hold or be working towards a level 3 teaching qualification.
