Job summary

AWTG Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a Programme Delivery Manager to lead complex digital, data and technology programmes across multiple teams. You will coordinate across software, cloud, data, AI, product, QA and client delivery to deliver practical outcomes for clients and end users.

The role requires expert Agile/Lean delivery, strong budgeting and governance skills, and the ability to remove blockers while keeping delivery momentum.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience managing complex digital, data or technology programmes involving multiple teams or workstreams.
  • Expert understanding of Agile and Lean practices, with the ability to tailor delivery approaches through the product or service life cycle.
  • Strong commercial and financial management experience, including budgets, supplier relationships, contracts and value for money.
  • Ability to communicate complex or high-risk topics clearly to senior technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage risks, dependencies and blockers while maintaining delivery momentum in complex environments.
  • Experience coaching delivery managers and improving delivery processes across teams or departments.

  • Act as the initial escalation point for programme delivery issues, including high-risk stakeholder, commercial and delivery challenges.
  • Balance competing objectives and support the redeployment of people and resources as priorities change.
  • Support programme leadership by translating programme vision into workable delivery plans, governance, reporting and measurable outcomes.
  • Coach delivery managers and promote effective Agile, Lean and continuous improvement practices across teams.

Job description

Role overview The Programme Delivery Manager will be accountable for the delivery of complex digital, data and technology products and services at AWTG. The role focuses on managing programmes delivered by multiple teams, balancing delivery priorities, removing blockers and ensuring that high-risk work is planned, governed and communicated effectively. You will work with multidisciplinary teams across software engineering, cloud, data, AI, product, QA and client delivery to create practical outcomes for clients and end users.
