An impactful NGO seeks a Programme Coordinator to support educational programmes on Political & Media Literacy. This role combines remote work and travel across Wales, with potential office days in London. Ideal candidates should be motivated, possess relevant experience, and be interested in counter-extremism. Salary ranges from £26,000 to £29,000 annually.

We are looking for a programme coordinator based in Wales. The position is remote with travel across Wales and one day per month in our office in London for team cohesion.
You will be joining our small, passionate NGO to support the delivery of our educational programmes. Reporting directly to the Head of Programmes, you will be tasked with delivering programmes on Political & Media Literacy, counter-extremism, and online safety. This will involve traveling to a variety of educational settings to deliver our programmes, alongside supporting our Head of Programmes. Projects can vary from media literacy workshops for schools, online harms CPD training, to city-wide democratic engagement stalls.
The applicant needs to be motivated, interested in counter-extremism, and passionate about Political & Media Literacy. The job is based on a 6-month contract, with likely extension (including a 3-month probation period).
A confident and engaging presenter, capable of delivering compelling political and media literacy programmes to diverse audiences in various settings. Exceptional organisational skills are paramount, enabling independent management of workload, extensive travel, and meticulous planning. Flexibility and adaptability are crucial for navigating dynamic demands, including extensive travel and unpredictable schedules. Excellent time management, a proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, and adherence to strict timelines are essential. Finally, the ideal individual should be proactive and self-motivated, consistently taking initiative and thriving in a self-directed work environment.
