Job description

We are looking for an experienced Programme Commercial Manager to lead commercial activity across a high-value programme. The role involves providing strategic commercial leadership, managing contracts, ensuring governance, and supporting the successful delivery of the programme.
This role will be based in either a southern or northern office, with occasional travel between sites—expenses covered for such visits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end commercial management for a complex, multi-site programme
  • Oversee procurement strategies, contract negotiations, and commercial risk management
  • Monitor budgets, forecasts, and ensure value for money
  • Support delivery teams in maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Provide commercial insight and reporting to programme leadership
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Support and guide junior commercial team members


Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in commercial/contract management within large-scale infrastructure or capital projects
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and public procurement standards
  • Proven ability to manage complex budgets and deliver commercial strategy
  • Confident communicator, able to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Flexibility to travel between northern and southern sites (with expenses covered)
