Job Description:

The KPMG Consulting function is a cornerstone of our business. Operating from London, we do work that matters, serving the country with diligence and expertise.

KPMG is one of the world's largest and most respected consultancies. We've supported the UK through times of war and peace, prosperity and recession, political and regulatory upheaval. We've proudly stood beside the institutions and businesses which make the UK what it is.

By encompassing a wide range of disciplines across a breadth of areas such as Strategy, Forensic, Risk and Regulatory, People and Talent, and Operational and Financial Transformation, we become immersed in our clients' organisations, applying sector knowledge and technology solutions to deliver the best possible outcomes and get it right first time.

Why Join KPMG as a Programme Assurance Manager?

Leadership & Management:

Management of multiple engagements simultaneously, working under a dedicated Senior Manager and/or Director. Leading and coaching junior team members to develop their skills around IPA.

Engaging directly with senior stakeholders on the client side (e.g., Programme Directors and CFOs), clearly articulating risks and recommendations from IPA work. Collaborating with the internal senior team to secure resources, deliver, and sign off work.

Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance:

Contributing to risk management activities over large, multi-year, multimillion-pound engagements. Ensuring adherence to all KPMG risk processes, especially given the high-risk nature of IPA work.

What will you be doing?

  • Understanding end-to-end business transformation ERP programmes and the associated assurance requirements.
  • Understanding all critical workstreams including PMO, business change, business architecture, testing, data, and transition, leading focused reviews in these areas.
  • Recognizing key risks throughout the programme lifecycle and implementing appropriate mitigations.
  • Converting observations into risks with clear impact and practical recommendations.
  • Managing multiple IPA activities such as stage gates and deep dives, aligning with other assurance activities, and communicating effectively with internal QA teams.

Leading a junior team to deliver high-quality outputs under pressure, such as health check reports, stage gate reviews, and readiness assessments.
