Job Description: Programme Assurance Manager at KPMG

Leadership & Management:

  • Manage multiple engagements simultaneously under the guidance of a Senior Manager and/or Director.
  • Lead and develop junior team members around IPA (Independent Project Assurance).
  • Engage directly with senior stakeholders on the client side, such as Programme Directors and CFOs, effectively communicating risks and recommendations from IPA work.
  • Collaborate with internal senior teams to secure resources, deliver, and obtain sign-off on work.

Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance:

  • Contribute to risk management activities over large, multi-year engagements worth multimillion pounds.
  • Ensure adherence to all KPMG risk processes, especially given the high-risk nature of IPA work.

What will you be doing?

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end business transformation ERP programmes, including their challenges and assurance requirements.
  • Understand all critical workstreams such as PMO, business change, business architecture, testing, data, and transition, and lead focused reviews in these areas.
  • Identify key risks throughout the programme lifecycle and determine appropriate mitigations to address them.
  • Translate observations into risks with clear impacts and practical recommendations.
  • Manage multiple IPA activities, such as stage gates and deep dives, aligning them with other assurance activities like Internal Audit.
  • Communicate effectively with internal QA teams using appropriate language around 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line assurance.

Leadership:

Lead junior team members to deliver high-quality outputs under pressure, including health check reports, stage gate reviews, and readiness assessments for project progression.
