Job Description

The School of Science, Engineering & Environment is seeking a Programme Assistant to support Programme Administrators in ensuring all activities and tasks underpinning programme support and office administration are implemented and managed in line with University processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide front-line professional service to visitors and outstanding customer experience to students and staff.
  2. Support academic staff in maintaining programme and module information.
  3. Ensure smooth administration of programmes and support for the School Office.
  4. Contribute to the collection and preparation of data for assessment board meetings in line with University quality assurance procedures and deadlines.
  5. Service assessment board meetings and ensure the capture and ratification of assessment board data.
  6. Provide administrative support for examinations, including collating data for students with reasonable adjustment plans and ensuring their requirements are met.
  7. Advise staff and students on quality standards and compliance with regulations and procedures (e.g., examination boards, appeals, plagiarism, PMC, fitness to practice, student misconduct).
  8. Liaise with University administrative and student support teams across the University in relation to the student journey.
  9. Foster and support a dynamic team approach within the School Office, working effectively as a team member and towards shared objectives.
  10. Utilise advanced IT skills, maintain accuracy and attention to detail, and ensure GDPR compliance.
