City of Doncaster Council is seeking a Senior Programme and Project Manager - Transformation to drive the SEND transformation agenda, delivering complex cross-sector projects that improve outcomes for children and young people.

You will lead planning, governance and multi‑stakeholder coordination, ensuring delivery is efficient, measurable and aligned with local and national priorities. A core focus is improving inclusion and service quality across education, health and care.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and delivery of strategic SEND reform and transformation programmes.
  • Manage programme planning, governance, reporting and risks.
  • Work collaboratively with education, health, social care, parent carer forums and wider partners.
  • Provide high-quality programme management advice and support.
  • Coordinate multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment with local and national priorities.
  • Lead and support programme staff, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Drive sustainable change that improves inclusion, service quality and outcomes for children and young people.

Would you like to help lead system-wide change that improves outcomes for children and young people with SEND? Doncaster is delivering an ambitious SEND Transformation Programme focused on inclusion, early intervention, sufficiency, preparation for adulthood and stronger partnership and co‑production working across education, health and care. As Senior Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex projects that support this agenda, ensuring the programme is delivered efficiently to achieve measurable improvements for children, young people and families. Responsibilities include:
