Job Description:

We are seeking a permanent Programme and Business Operations Lead to work collaboratively with the Head of Products and Research, contributing to the effective oversight and delivery of the Business Operations functions and Programmes across the Genomics Surveillance Unit (GSU).

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing the Business Operations across the Unit
  • Providing assurance that the Unit operates on a financially viable basis, with appropriate financial controls, and optimizes the use of funds available
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies, processes, and procedures to minimize audit findings
  • Monitoring budgets against project expenditure and income, and enabling capabilities (GSU and WSI)
  • Providing programmatic support and oversight to the Value Propositions and Project Managers
  • Contributing to strategic planning, objectives, and business planning
  • Full line management responsibility of team members

You will understand the connectivity between programmes, oversee financial control and contract management, and collaborate with legal, HR, finance, procurement, and research governance. You will develop systems to facilitate international project delivery, aiming to become a leader in genomic data on pathogens and vectors.

About You:

With knowledge of business and commercial delivery in a laboratory setting, you will support research and laboratory operations in this complex role.

Experience:

Other Information:

Salary: £81,435-£95,730 per annum

Hybrid Working: 2-3 days/week in the office
