Job description

The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) is recognised as a leading centre of excellence for creative learning and vocational training within the performing arts and creative industries. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Programme Administration Manager to join our vibrant and creative community at LIPA and lead a dynamic team supporting students and academic colleagues across our higher education programmes. We are looking for an experienced and proactive administrator with strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering excellent service. You'll manage a busy, high-performing team, coordinate key academic processes, and help shape and improve the student experience through efficient, compliant administration. Key responsibilities will include overseeing the maintenance and integrity of student records, managing the end-to-end process for student assessments, and taking lead administrative responsibility for the planning of key academic-related student events.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in academic or student administration within higher education, with proven leadership and line management experience. You will have experience of planning and delivering complex events, ideally within a creative arts or performance-based environment. Attention to detail and excellent communication and organisational skills are essential. As is confidence in using a number of IT packages including Microsoft Office. Familiarity with student records systems is desirable.

In return we offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, pension options (default scheme ER 4% / EE 4% or enhanced contribution ER 16.48% / EE 8.6-9.6%), 25 days holiday per year rising to 30 days after 5 years service plus statutory bank holidays, closure days, complimentary tickets to our inhouse productions and the opportunity to become part of our unique international community of creatives, performers, technicians, managers, and film makers.
