Job summary

Cititec in London is partner to a leading global commodities trading organisation undergoing a major transformation of its oil trading technology. Responsibilities

• Own and define the overall programme QA and testing strategy across multiple workstreams.
• Coordinate testing across interconnected Front Office, Middle Office and Back Office platforms.
• Lead SIT, E2E, UAT and integration testing with full coverage of the trade lifecycle.
• Define quality gates and UAT entry/exit criteria and challenge the programme when needed.
• Oversee creation of test cases and scenarios, including AI-assisted generation for better coverage.
• Manage defect, risk and issue governance across delivery teams.
• Lead cutover and go-live testing with validated migration sequencing and business continuity.
• Provide clear QA reporting to senior programme stakeholders.

Location: London - 4 days onsite / 1 day remote

Contract: 12 months initially

We are working with a leading global commodities trading organisation undergoing a major transformation of its oil trading technology. They are looking for an experienced Programme QA Lead to take ownership of quality across a complex, business-critical programme.

This is a senior role focused on QA strategy, governance and programme readiness, rather than hands-on testing.

The Role

• Own and define the overall programme QA and testing strategy across multiple workstreams.
• Coordinate testing across interconnected Front Office, Middle Office and Back Office platforms.
• Lead SIT, E2E, UAT and integration testing, ensuring full coverage across the trade lifecycle.
• Define quality gates and UAT entry/exit criteria, challenging the programme where required.
• Oversee test case and test scenario creation, including the use of AI to accelerate test case generation, improve coverage and identify potential gaps.
• Manage defect, risk and issue governance across multiple delivery teams.
• Lead cutover and go-live testing, ensuring migration sequencing, dependencies and business continuity are properly validated.
• Provide clear QA reporting to senior programme stakeholders and leadership.

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience leading QA at programme or enterprise level.
• Proven experience creating and owning test strategy and governance across multiple workstreams.
• Strong Front-to-Back experience across trading platforms.
• Experience with complex system integration, migration and legacy platform replacement.
• Strong understanding of SIT, E2E, UAT and cutover testing.
• Confident stakeholder manager who can challenge senior stakeholders when necessary.
• Experience within commodities, energy, financial services or capital markets is highly desirable.
• An interest in using AI and modern testing approaches to improve efficiency, coverage and quality.
