Job Description:

Amazon Shipping is looking to hire an experienced leader to join the SWA Sales & Operations planning team. You will be a natural self-starter, who is able to drive process and planning improvements to achieve organizational goals and deliver results. This will require a true hands-on approach, solid stakeholder management skills, and excellent communication skills.

You’ll be taking the lead on the design and launch of new programs for our customers. You’ll also oversee programs that are already running and find ways to improve them. Key job responsibilities
- Assess improvement opportunities, priorities and pain points affecting EU Operations and customers, then translate these into initiatives that will establish a solid foundation for scaling the Amazon Shipping business especially in newer geographies - France, Italy and Spain
- Launch operational programs, monitor performance metrics, and report on the status of key objectives that affect deliverables
- Use data to understand weekly forecasting challenges and create continuous improvement initiatives
- Work with a variety of other Amazon departments to identify and leverage best practices
- Within a program environment, work on overcoming challenges, competing priorities, and drive progress
- Manage stakeholders and internal processes, and define standards

A day in the life
As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and improving initiatives that ensure the smooth running of our operations. You’ll work closely with a range of Amazon colleagues to understand how they work, and what you and your teams can learn, as well as sharing your own expertise. Together, you’ll identify exciting new opportunities and will take the lead when it comes to designing their implementation.

You’ll encourage and support your teams and colleagues to meet important deliverables, while proactively looking for new, data-backed ways we could do things better. Your work will be integral to your team’s success.

About the team
Amazon Shipping offers Amazon’s delivery capabilities as a product and service. Amazon Shipping’s first customers are sellers in the EU, offering to ship their domestic volume using our delivery network.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience leading process improvements
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- Experience with data analysis through queries such as Hubble
