Job description

Amazon is seeking a candidate to identify, develop, and integrate innovative solutions and programs that lead to improvements redefining customer experience standards in our North American Transportation Network. Amazon transportation encompasses all operations delivering shipments from fulfillment centers and third-party locations to customers worldwide.

As a Program Manager on the Transportation Engineering Systems Team, you will:

  1. Own business stakeholder engagement.
  2. Focus on delivering new or streamlining existing processes and programs.
  3. Shape mid to long-term planning and prioritization for supported business groups.
  4. Work cross-functionally with a broad range of stakeholders to define requirements and implement process/system solutions for the Amazon Fulfillment/Transportation Network.
  5. Create documentation to support defect reduction, productivity improvements, and risk mitigation.
  6. Establish operational structure and change control in our evolving landscape.
  7. Provide strategic direction and subject matter expertise for investment prioritization in business analytics and technology.
  8. Understand business requirements and utilize analytical skills to determine process improvements.
  9. Use analytical tools to build reports, generate dashboards, create success metrics, and negotiate tech feature priorities to drive process automation.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • 2+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology.
  • Experience with MS Access and SQL.
  • Experience in requirement gathering and writing clear, detailed requirement documents.
