Job summary

Google is seeking a Program Manager for EHS Operations Data Centers covering EMEA/APAC. London, UK and Dublin, Ireland will be among preferred sites. The role leads complex, multi-disciplinary projects across regions, coordinating requirements, schedules, and risks with cross-functional partners.

You will work with regional managers to optimize day-to-day operations, ensure zero-harm outcomes, and integrate regional actions into Google's global EHS strategy. Significant travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• 8 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).
• 5 years of experience in leading program portfolios.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support annual EHS Operations planning cycles, business reviews, resource tracking and model evaluations.
• Partner with regional area managers to unblock administrative barriers and optimize processes.
• Serve as primary EHS point of contact for ambiguous projects, defining the path forward for zero harm.
• Cooperate with global EHS stakeholders to align regional actions with the global strategy.
• Perform regional audits to ensure EHS campaigns and standards are localized and effective.

• Experience in resource tracking, process optimization and data-driven risk management.
• EHS experience.
• Experience operating across complex, multicultural geographies (specifically EMEA or APAC), with a demonstrated ability to adapt global programs to local realities.

Responsibilities

• Support annual EHS Operations planning cycles, business reviews (M/QBRs), resource tracking and model evaluations alongside regional area managers.
• Partner closely with regional area managers to unblock administrative barriers, optimize day-to-day operational processes and compress critical project cycle times.
• Serve as the primary EHS point of contact for ambiguous projects where no clear precedent exists, defining the path forward for zero harm.
• Cooperate closely with global EHS stakeholders to roll up regional actions, strategic plans and performance metrics, ensuring EMEA/APAC initiatives are seamlessly integrated into the global EHS strategy.
• Perform targeted cultural and regional audits across EMEA/APAC to ensure EHS campaigns, processes, and standards are appropriately localized and effective.
