At Independence Hall, we provide client-centered care and recovery-oriented treatment within a therapeutic environment. We are seeking passionate and innovative individuals to join our team.
The Program Manager is responsible for the general oversight, administrative supervision of program staff, day-to-day operations, development, implementation, and continuous improvement and evaluation of the Clinical Stabilization Service (CSS) Program.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAY TO DAY:
- Provides administrative supervision and management of designated staff, including scheduling, approving timesheets, conducting annual reviews, and collaborating with HR regarding employee relations, training, development, and disciplinary measures.
- Develops a strategic plan to implement a comprehensive mental health and substance use treatment program at Independence Hall. Creates policies and procedures that support the program and reflect the agency's philosophy and objectives.
- Works with the Business Department to ensure all program standards are met to maintain licensure by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, compliance with BSAS Standards of Care, and CARF Behavioral Health accreditation. Collaborates with HR and the Business Department to manage the financial performance of the program by monitoring and resolving budgeting issues.
- Works with executive management to market and promote the program within the community by developing business relationships, referral networks, and outreach linkages.
- Develops referral processes for internal and external services, including acute, rehabilitation, support care, medical maintenance, and continuing care for mental health and substance use disorders.
- Identifies mental health and substance use assessment tools and establishes procedures for their administration.
- Develops a formalized process for implementing, tracking, and analyzing screening, brief interventions, and referrals to treatment.
- Develops and launches a patient engagement initiative, including outreach to de-stigmatize counseling services, and works to enhance the "Culture of Care" by treating clients with dignity and respect, and de-escalating upset clients.
- Ensures minimum staffing 24/7 to guarantee client safety and adherence to licensing requirements, including all critical staff on all shifts. Maintains a strict policy of non-abandonment of client care and acts as the final line of coverage in case of unavailability of replacement staff.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology); Master's Degree preferred.
- At least two years of clinical, behavioral/mental health, or substance abuse counseling experience.
- Minimum of three years in management and/or program development.
- Ability to pass a CORI and background investigation.
- Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy; medical exemptions considered.
