For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible Behavioral Health Program Managers!

Current MaineHealth employee members are ineligible; former members are ineligible until more than 3 months of separation from employment. Bonuses may be prorated based on schedule.

~ 36 Hours/week, Full-Time, Day shift ~

Required: Maine state licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).

The behavioral health integration program seeks a highly motivated, innovative, and personable individual to provide supervisory and management support to a dynamic team in the Portland area, primarily working in pediatrics and specialty practices. The manager will collaborate closely with the program director and other managers to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care within the integrated setting. Responsibilities include traveling across the healthcare system for clinical supervision, team building, staff engagement, working with practice managers and stakeholders to improve quality outcomes, and supporting current and future programming.

The program encompasses approximately 100 clinicians across MaineHealth, spanning 9 hospital systems including into New Hampshire. It focuses on providing targeted interventions with the primary goal of improving access to behavioral health. The team works collaboratively with medical providers to enhance whole health care and wellness, aiming to improve outcomes and reduce costs. The program also partners with other behavioral health initiatives to facilitate seamless care transitions, and as a manager, you will develop and maintain relationships with these programs.

This role requires working at least one day a week in a practice to maintain clinical skills and immerse in the clinical culture. The position is self-driven, reliable, and capable of remote work. The work is engaging, challenging, and rewarding. We look forward to your application.

Summary

The Program Manager is accountable for managing and delivering safe, effective patient care and overseeing daily program functions. The role involves team leadership, service coordination, management of team members, client outcomes, workload delegation, team building, and appropriate resource utilization. The manager works closely with management to ensure clinical documentation quality and compliance. They are also responsible for program sustainability through effective service use and caseload management, contributing to financial goals. Additionally, the manager will spend part of their week delivering behavioral health integration services in a practice setting.

Minimum Requirements (KSAs)
  1. Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  2. State licensure in Maine to practice independently as an LCSW, LCPC, or PhD in mental health; additional licensure in substance use treatment is preferred.
  3. At least 3 years of relevant community-based experience and 3 years of clinical supervisory and management experience are preferred.
