Job description

Technical Programme Manager – M&A & Tech Migration

Day Rate: £700–£750 (inside IR35)

Location: Aberdeen (2–3 days per week, with flexibility – approx. every other week from autumn)

Duration: Initially to 30/11/2025 – likely to extend until March 2025

Start date: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced Technical Programme Manager to lead complex, large-scale technology initiatives. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver end-to-end (E2E) multi-application and infrastructure projects, driving significant M&A and tech migration programmes while building strong relationships with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver complex technology programmes on time and on budget.
  • Develop and manage project plans, scope, and budgets in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and expectation management.
  • Lead technology transformation projects – from application integration to infrastructure modernisation.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues proactively.
  • Mentor and lead a team of project managers and technical experts.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven track record in complex programme management and E2E technical delivery.
  • Strong experience managing senior stakeholders and driving technology transformations.
  • M&A and tech migration expertise – M&A, carve-out, or divestment experience essential.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas sector is highly advantageous.
