Statement of Purpose

The purpose of Alpha Recovery Center Inc. is to facilitate a healthy environment where individuals may recover from their substance abuse. The Program Director fulfills the role as the manager of the operations in the detox facility. All executive decisions are to be approved in writing by the CEO.

Major Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide clinical supervision to counselors.
  2. Conduct and monitor quality assurance activities to ensure that the program follows policies, rules, and regulations.
  3. Supervise the day-to-day program operations.
  4. Provide and schedule clinical training, in-services, staff development activities, and weekly staff and treatment planning meetings.
  5. Responsible for hiring decisions for professional positions in the program, structuring the delivery of services within regulations and contract specifications, and setting guidelines for treatment plans.
  6. Intervene and assist as needed with clients (crisis intervention, addressing special needs, etc.).
  7. Ensure group counseling services are designed, structured, and delivered in a standardized manner.
  8. Review group programs and trainings twice a year to ensure they meet best practices in addiction treatment.
  9. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with state, county, and community officials.
  10. Understand and comply with federal regulations regarding Alcohol and Drug information, 42 CFR Part 2, and HIPAA regulations for client confidentiality.
  11. Work closely with the Medical Director and nursing liaison for clients in detoxification and acute mental health.
  12. Work with adults and families in both individual and group modalities and develop family programs.
