Job summary

Lorien is seeking an experienced Programme Director for Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) to lead strategic coordination and assurance across the Derbyshire LGR programme. You will work with the Chief Executives of all ten councils and senior political and organisational stakeholders to shape the delivery of the new unitary authorities.

The role requires strong experience in large-scale public sector reorganisation, cross-council collaboration, and robust governance, risk and dependency

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading large-scale public sector reorganisation projects.
• Proven ability to coordinate across multiple councils or sovereign organisations.
• Strong political acumen and senior stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated governance, assurance, risk and dependency management capabilities.
• Experience working with Chief Executives, elected Members and senior officers.
• Ability to coordinate multiple PMOs and complex workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic coordination and assurance across the Derbyshire LGR programme.
• Engage with Chief Executives of all ten councils and senior political and organisational stakeholders.
• Drive programme governance and dependency management to successful delivery.
• Provide executive leadership and direction for the LGR programme and future unitary authorities.
