Overview

Perth Festival is a not-for-profit multi-arts festival that brings world class international and local performance, music, film, visual arts and literary events to Perth, Western Australia, every summer. As Australia’s longest-running arts festival, we celebrate Perth, its people and its culture on the Derbarl Yerrigan (Swan River). We champion Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander traditions and contemporary arts practice while commissioning major new works and engaging diverse audiences.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an organised and proactive Program Coordinator – Fine Music to support the delivery of Perth Festival’s fine music program in 2026. In this hands-on coordination role, you’ll work closely with the Producer, artists, and internal teams to manage logistics, scheduling, artist services, and event delivery, to ensure a seamless and high-quality experience for artists and audiences alike. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with production or program coordination experience looking to grow their career within a major arts organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Administration: Finalise logistics including travel, accommodation, transport, and schedules
  • Coordinate artist and crew movements, including airport and venue transfers
  • Collaborate with Production on rehearsals, bump-ins, soundchecks, and performance needs
  • Manage delegated budgets and maintain accurate expenditure tracking
  • Communicate issues or delays to Festival teams clearly and promptly
  • Artist Services: Act as the primary liaison for artist and company needs onsite
  • Arrange catering, green room, wardrobe, ticketing and special hospitality requirements
  • Distribute artist comps and manage merchandise handovers with sales staff
  • Ensure artists feel supported and well looked after throughout their Festival experience
  • Reporting & Wrap-Up: Provide show updates to the Producer and relevant teams
  • Deliver a detailed post-Festival summary report outlining insights and learnings
You’ll Bring
  • Experience in event coordination, programming, or production (arts/festival experience preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to stay calm and solve problems in high-pressure situations
  • Experience working respectfully with diverse communities, including First Nations and CALD artists
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable working across multiple tools and systems
Special Requirements
  • Must hold a valid Australian Driver’s Licence and be comfortable driving company vehicles
  • Availability for evening and weekend work during Festival delivery period
