The Thomson Reuters Foundation is seeking a highly motivated Program Accountant to join our Finance Team in London. As program activity grows, you will manage your portfolio and support senior staff in program reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial information for projects and donors.

About the Role

As a Program Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

1. Ensuring accurate month-end accounting and reporting for your projects.
2. Managing budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, and supporting reforecast processes.
3. Ensuring donor reports meet requirements, deadlines, and contractual obligations.
4. Representing finance on project boards as needed.
5. Collaborating with Business Development and Program Teams on donor proposals.
6. Preparing and presenting financial reports to management.
7. Providing financial guidance to stakeholders for decision-making.
8. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and donor regulations.
9. Supporting project staff with financial analysis to keep projects on track.
10. Contributing to process improvements and automation.
11. Maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
12. Potentially managing a project accountant.

About You

The ideal Program Accountant will have:

• Qualified accountant with at least 5 years of experience in program accounting within a charity.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and donor reporting skills, with problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of financial process improvements.
