Job Description:

Role Overview:

To maximise profitability in the business by protecting all company assets, including personnel, buildings, stock, and costs, while ensuring all core department values are upheld by all personnel within the team.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all Security Policies and Standard Operating Procedures are current and enforce best practices across the site as part of our safety and security culture framework.
• Ensure sites and company assets remain physically secure and protected against unauthorised access.
• Lead with professionalism, representing the Profit and Asset Protection Department and JD Brand.
• Develop and lead security supervisors, driving best practices and consistency.
• Oversee officer and supervisor rotas to ensure all areas are covered.
• Identify and implement initiatives to mitigate security and stock loss risks.
• Conduct site audits and develop action plans with stakeholders.
• Control and monitor site access, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
• Oversee gatehouse processes and communication, protecting vehicle integrity.
• Maintain security equipment and CCTV in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Adjust guarding rotas as needed, maintaining appropriate staffing levels in consultation with the Site Manager.
• Support incident management as the first line of response.
• Investigate security incidents, identifying trends and root causes.
• Support ad-hoc activities and deputise for the Site Manager when required.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:

• Experience in Profit Protection, Risk, or Security Management.
• Strong relationship-building skills at all levels.
• Experience and knowledge in Security Investigation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Experience in Distribution and Transportation sectors.
• Proven People Management experience.
• Willingness to work at other locations as needed.
