Qualifications

• Outstanding and sustained profile of international quality outputs, funding record and successful PhD supervisions.
• Proven ability to develop and lead innovative research-led teaching and curriculum design.
• Evidence of leadership outside of research area and mentoring earlier career colleagues.
• Ability to translate research into impact on other scholars and on the wider community through publication, engagement with policy and practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver significant strategic and intellectual leadership for the School, both in Statistics and Data Science and more broadly.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of exciting and attractive degree programmes.
• Enhance the research environment through their own outstanding research and by helping others develop their portfolios.
• Develop interdisciplinary research opportunities across the University.
• Secure external funding.
• Interact with external bodies such as the Royal Statistical Society and, where appropriate, industrial partners.
