Job summary

The University of Lancashire in Preston invites applications for a Professor of Restorative Dentistry to lead postgraduate education in Endodontology, Prosthodontics, Periodontology and Implantology. We seek an exceptional clinician with a PhD, GDC registration as a specialist in Restorative Dentistry or monospecialist status in Prosthodontics or Endodontics, and

Qualifications

• Full and current GDC registration as a Specialist in Restorative Dentistry or monospecialist in Prosthodontics or Endodontics.
• Clinical qualification indicating restorative specialism in clinical dentistry.
• PhD or equivalent.
• Formal teaching qualification or willingness to undertake within 2 years of appointment.
• Comprehensive experience as a restorative dentist specialist, including restorative consultant post experience and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across postgraduate programmes in Endodontology, Prosthodontics, Periodontology and Implantology.
• Influence curriculum development, clinical education, research strategy and external partnerships.
• Develop new educational initiatives, strengthen research collaborations and enhance the School's national and international reputation.
