Job summary

Origin Legal seeks a Corporate/ Banking & Finance Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to work remotely from the UK, supporting Cayman teams with precedents and know-how. You will collaborate with Cayman partners, KM, BD and marketing to keep lawyers and clients informed of regulatory updates.

The role emphasizes preparing precedents, managing know-how, and delivering KM training, with a focus on AI and legal tech adoption across teams. PQE of 2+ years and strong academics are required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years PQE in corporate or banking & finance.
• Experience at a reputable law firm is preferred.
• Strong academic record: 2:1 LLB (Hons) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare precedents, practice notes and client briefings for Corporate and Banking & Finance teams.
• Manage and update know-how materials and precedents.
• Produce and train on knowledge management documents and practices.
• Support adoption of AI and legal technology tools with KM and IT teams.

Job description

One of the global leaders in the offshore legal sector are looking for a Corporate/ Banking & Finance Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to work remotely from the UK.

The role will be to support the Cayman Islands Corporate/ Banking & Finance teams in the preparation, production and management of Cayman precedents, know-how and client briefings. You will work as part of a coordinated team alongside Cayman partners, knowledge management, business development and marketing to ensure legal professionals and clients are kept informed of current legal and regulatory updates.

Main responsibilities of the role:

• Preparation of the Corporate and Banking & Finance team precedents, practice notes and client briefings
• Management of maintained know-how
• Preparation and delivery of knowledge management training documents and practices
• Play a key part in the adoption of AI and legal technology tools, working with Knowledge Management and IT teams to provide training and support to lawyers in the use of AI.

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 2 years PQE (ideally with Cayman experience but this is not a pre-requisite)
• General Corporate and/or Banking & Finance post qualification experience gained at a reputable law firm
• Strong academics - minimum 2:1 LLB (Hons) or equivalent
• Familiarity with knowledge management systems is desirable
