Professional Support Lawyer - Pensions | 4+ Years PQE | Nottingham | Hybrid Working Available

BCL Legal is delighted to be working with a highly regarded national law firm on the recruitment of a Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to join its leading Pensions team. Based in Nottingham, this is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced pensions lawyer looking to step into a strategic, non-fee earning role within a top-ranked practice.

The Role
You will be at the heart of a nationally recognised pensions team, supporting the delivery of first-class legal advice by shaping and managing the team's knowledge, training, and technical resources. Working closely with partners and legal advisers, you'll lead on a broad range of knowledge management initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

- Monitoring legal developments in pensions law and sharing insights across the team
- Producing client-facing updates, training, and legal briefings
- Creating thought leadership content and maintaining intermediary relationships
- Managing precedents and knowledge tools used across the team
- The role is based in Birmingham, with hybrid working options available.

The Candidate
You will be a qualified solicitor with at least 4 years' PQE in pensions law, ideally gained in a leading national or regional firm. PSL experience is welcome but not essential - this role would also suit a technically strong pensions lawyer who is looking to move away from fee-earning and into a more strategic and thought-led role.

You will demonstrate:

- Strong technical knowledge and a genuine passion for pensions law
- Excellent drafting and communication skills
- Confidence in presenting to clients and internal teams
- A collaborative and proactive approach to team contribution
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage knowledge systems effectively
