Job summary

Sanderson in Leicester seeks a senior UK tax/IR35 specialist to provide technical leadership within Professional Services. You will review consultant work, advise on complex employment tax matters, and support HMRC enquiries, disclosures and settlements.

You’ll mentor Tax Consultants, build strong client relationships, and contribute to proposals and business development. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.

Qualifications

• IR35 / Off-Payroll / employment status experience.
• Strong PAYE, NIC, CIS and personal tax knowledge.
• Experience dealing with HMRC enquiries and settlements.
• Strong technical review and advisory skills.
• Experience mentoring or coaching others.
• Good client-facing and communication skills.

Job description

Permanent role based in Leicester, with 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH, reporting to the Head of Professional Services.

The role is a senior technical position focused on IR35, Off-Payroll Working, employment status, employment tax and personal tax. The person will provide technical oversight, review consultants' work, handle complex client queries and support HMRC enquiries, disclosures and settlements.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical escalation point for Tax Consultants.
