Job Description:

The role is responsible for providing data consultancy services supporting our range of CCH software products. These services involve data transformation, SQL scripting tailored to customer requirements.

The role requires enthusiasm, self-motivation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyze and translate customer requirements into tangible outputs. As a customer-facing consultant, the key objectives are:

  • Delivery of data migration and manipulation services.
  • Data extraction from customer databases via scripts and software tools.
  • System data analysis and provision of formal quotes for bespoke services.

The role involves working with multiple teams and departments to provide exceptional service remotely within tight timeframes, requiring excellent customer management skills. Occasional weekend and evening work may be necessary to minimize disruption.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver professional, efficient services, considering the impact of downtime on customers' businesses.
  • Provide high-quality data solutions supporting CCH software using Transact SQL.
  • Take ownership of customer issues, escalate when needed, and keep customers updated.
  • Stay up-to-date with CCH Software and industry standards supporting current and future software.
  • Collaborate with project management and professional services to ensure successful delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders, including sales, customer services, and product development, to meet customer expectations.
  • Assist with testing new versions/builds of data solutions.
  • Assist in producing supporting collateral and refining processes and documentation.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, handle difficult situations confidently, and simplify complex issues.
  • Maintain a customer service focus and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Seek customer feedback to maintain high standards.
  • Work independently and within a team remotely.
  • Communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
  • Be a self-starter with a growth mindset and eagerness to learn new systems.
  • Experience in ETL, data manipulation, migration, and cleansing.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server administration, including backups and restores.
  • Proficiency in Transact SQL, creating and troubleshooting stored procedures and scripts.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, Power Query (desirable), Visual Studio, Github (beneficial), Power BI (desirable), and CCH software applications (desirable).

Technical / Professional Qualifications:

  • Professional technical certification or similar is desirable.
