Main duties of the job

We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our Central Division as a Professional Nurse Specialist in Autism. This key role involves supporting and leading in the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical strategies and practices for individuals with autism spectrum condition (ASC).

Person Specification

Experience

• Registered Nurse (Mental Health or Learning Disabilities) with current NMC registration and at least 7 years post-registration experience.
• Full driving licence and access to a car.
• Willingness and ability to travel across the UK, including at short notice for urgent support.
• Additional qualifications or postgraduate education in autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, or related fields (e.g., MSc in Autism, PBS).
• Experience working with national advisory groups on autism.
