You will underwrite renewals and new business, and build strong broker and client relationships while collaborating with pricing, claims and delegated underwriting teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in professional lines underwriting with strong risk assessment.
• Strong trading and negotiation skills with brokers and clients.
• Ability to build and maintain broker/client relationships.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assess renewal and new business risks using underwriting guidelines.
• Represent the company in client meetings, broker forums and events.
• Develop and maintain broker/client relationships to grow business.
• Collaborate with claims and pricing to deliver viable products.
• Manage delegated authorities and reporting for underwriting control.
• Mentor junior underwriters with guidance and referrals.
• Contribute to underwriting strategy development and execution.
• Liaise with Finance and Operations for regulatory data returns.
