Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionCME Associates is seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Civil Engineer to join our team. This position offers an opportunity to take on more responsibility in project management and technical design, contributing to impactful infrastructure and development projects. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Manage and oversee civil engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality outcomes.
  • Design Development: Create and review designs for infrastructure projects, including site grading, stormwater management, transportation systems, and utility layouts, using industry-standard software.
  • Permitting and Compliance: Prepare and submit permitting documentation to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Client and Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and addressing project requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.


Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required or the ability to obtain within six months.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design tools. Experience with hydrology, structural analysis, or transportation modeling is a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in civil engineering, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
  • Soft Skills: Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and client-focused environment.
