Professional Business Support Administrator

Division – Supervision, Policy and Competition

Department - Market Analysis and Policy

Salary - National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £25,000 to £33,333 and London from £27,500 to £36,633 per annum (salary offered will be based on skills and experience)

The Market Analysis and Policy Department delivers cross-firm analysis, policy, and supervision for wholesale banks and markets. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality administrative support to the Wholesale Market and Wholesale Banks Sector teams, ensuring smooth operations and efficient systems management. Ideal for a highly organised, proactive individual who works independently while maintaining a collaborative approach

What will you be doing?

  • Providing essential administrative support, including diary management, prioritising schedules, overseeing IT requirements for new, transitioning and departing staff and handling ad-hoc queries

  • Collaborating with the Head of Department’s PAs and the Director’s PA to ensure seamless administrative operations, maintaining adequate coverage and acting as a key point of contact

  • Coordinating external meetings, managing logistics such as venue bookings, travel arrangements, accommodation and expense processing

Minimum

  • Experience of effectively managing time and organising workload to meet deadlines

  • Experience of handling administrative tasks with efficiency

  • Experience of communicating clearly and professionally with individuals at all levels

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong typing skills with precision and correct spelling in all written communications
