We're currently looking for a Specialist Programmes Manager on a Fixed Term contract basis until January 2026. This position sits within the ACCA Consults team in the Partnerships & Recognition Directorate. We are flexible on the location of this role.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of ACCA's strategic value in the dynamic landscape of international development in the accountancy profession.

The Job

Reporting to the Head of ACCA Consults, on a day-to-day basis, you'll be involved in the following:

  • Implementation of all aspects of ACCA's consultancy work - including ACCA's Public Financial Management Reform, Developing the Profession and Public Sector Advisory approaches
  • Oversight of the management and delivery of ACCA's programme of projects within the consultancy and capacity building portfolio
  • Preparation and write-up of world class project, consultancy and advisory bids
  • Support to horizon-scanning activities
  • Oversight of the continued engagement and deployment of external consultants
  • Recruitment, contracting and training of project managers to deliver project requirements and direct management of designated projects as needed.
  • Mobilisation and management of cross-functional teams of experts from across ACCA to deliver projects.

We're looking for someone who:
  • Understands the key strategic aims of ACCA and the competitive environment in which it operates.
  • Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and aspiration to build and grow ACCA's consultancy portfolio.
  • Holds experience of managing international development programmes and projects
  • Has excellent problem solving skills and able to work under pressure
  • Exercises clear objectivity in making decisions and recommendations
  • Can deal with change with a high level of professionalism

*Profession Programmes Manager job title to be replaced by Specialist Programmes Manager
