Overview

The AMS Production Workflow Engineer (PWE) is responsible for driving adoption of AMS Backlot: Create cloud-based workflows across dailies, editorial, conform, color, mastering, remote production, and other production processes. The PWE educates customers, internal partners, and third‑party production companies about the Studio's Backlot: Create suite of creative workflows, validates workflows with vendors, and integrates local workflows with the cloud using Backlot: Create. The PWE builds and deploys Backlot: Create workflows, serves as a primary contact for internal stakeholders and end customers, and gathers requirements and communicates issues back to the product and engineering teams. The role involves working with customers remotely and in person.

Responsibilities
  • Drive adoption of the Studio's cloud-based production and post-production workflows (Backlot: Create).
  • Educate customers, internal partners, and third-party production companies about the Backlot: Create suite of workflows.
  • Work with vendors to validate workflows and integrate local workflows with cloud workflows.
  • Build and deploy Backlot: Create workflows and serve as the primary contact for internal stakeholders and end-customers.
  • Gather requirements and communicate issues and requirements back to Product and Engineering teams.
  • Engage with customers remotely and in person to support implementations and successful usage.
  • Lead engagements with management and post‑leadership at partner production and post companies, onboard productions, and evangelize cloud production.
  • Deploy and support the operation of the Studio's cloud-based workflows (dailies, editorial, conform, color, mastering, remote production, etc.).
Qualifications
  • Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
  • Experience within technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
  • Production technology and media/entertainment experience, such as building and managing post production workflows for films, series, and unscripted productions.
  • Knowledge or experience with industry content creation tools (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Avid NEXIS, Blackmagic Resolve, Colorfront On-Set Dailies, Colorfront Transkoder, Adobe Creative Cloud).
  • Experience working directly in customer implementations.
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience with AWS technologies.
  • Business proficiency or fluency in Spanish and/or French.
