Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Production Wirer in Winchester to join a hands-on team. You will wire and assemble lighting products to high quality and safety standards, following technical drawings and using hand tools and testing equipment.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:45pm, offering a PAYE rate of £13.90 per hour with opportunities to develop specialist lighting skills and progress to permanent roles.

Qualifications

• Wiring or electrical assembly experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail is essential.
• Reliable, punctual and well organized.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Production Wirer - Winchester | £13.90 per hour

Our client is currently recruiting a number of Production Wirers to join their team in Winchester. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role, ideal for someone practical, detail-oriented, and confident working with tools.

The Role

As a Lamp & Lighting Wirer, you will be responsible for wiring and assembling lighting products to a high standard of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Wiring and assembling lamps and lighting fixtures
• Working from technical drawings and instructions
• Using hand tools and electrical testing equipment
• Ensuring all products meet safety, functional, and quality standards

About You

• Previous wiring or electrical assembly experience is desirable but not essential
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and well-organised
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
