Job summary

Apex Resource Management Ltd seeks an experienced Production Welder / Hand Polisher for a temporary ongoing assignment in Leamington Spa. You will weld stainless steel using TIG, then grind and polish to a high cosmetic standard, following engineering drawings and quality controls.

The role involves reading drawings, maintaining weld quality, and adhering to ISO9001 and COSHH safety requirements. Shifts rotate, with overtime available to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Production Welder/ Hand Polisher.
• Proven experience in TIG welding stainless steel components.
• Skilled in hand polishing, grinding, and finishing stainless steel to a high cosmetic standard.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing a flawless finish.
• Knowledge of quality processes and COSHH regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out precision TIG welding on stainless steel components to exact specifications.
• Perform grinding, polishing, and finishing of welded parts to achieve the required surface quality.
• Ensure all welded joints are visually and dimensionally accurate, free from defects.
• Work from technical drawings to produce components that meet customer and company requirements.
• Check and measure finished components at required inspection frequencies.
• Identify, label, and record both approved and rejected parts in line with ISO9001 Quality Standards.
• Maintain consistency in weld quality, finish, and polish across all components produced.
• Maintain a clean and organised working area, including polishing stations and equipment.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company health & safety requirements.

Rotating weekly and fortnightly shifts, and flexible with days and overtime if required

Pay rates

• Early and Late shifts - £16.86 per hour
• Days - £15.13 per hour

• 14.00 - 22.00 Monday to Thursday
