Qualifications

  • Experience in testing electromechanical products and fault diagnosis.
  • Minimum HNC level in Engineering or equivalent required.

Job description

Working: The role is office based with occasional travel to other company sites in the UK. Office site presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out testing of items in accordance with documented procedures and complete relevant test documentation.
  • Carry out fault finding to understand any failures and feedback to other departments (Production/Manufacturing Engineering) to aid process improvement.
  • Repair and maintain test equipment where required.
  • Support other Test Department personnel as required.
  • Work to deadlines set by the Production Manager and the Test Systems Manager.
  • Setup of equipment to perform production testing.
  • Raise MRBs/defect reports as required.

Skills, Qualification and Experience

  • Experience testing electromechanical products.
  • Good understanding of electromechanical measurement and test principles, and fault diagnosis techniques, with demonstrable experience down to component level.
  • Minimum HNC level of Engineering qualifications or equivalent.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including generation of test specifications, operator instructions, and technical reports.
  • Experience in the Defence / Aerospace or safety regulated environment would be advantageous.
  • Experience in the Naval / Maritime domain would be advantageous.
