Job summary

The Langley in the United Kingdom is seeking a production test engineer to design and validate test methods for manufacturing. You will train technicians on correct use of test equipment and contribute to improving test processes.

The role requires a degree in engineering or equivalent, 3+ years in testing, experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, and data acquisition, and strong fault finding and communication skills. You will collaborate with project teams and engineering managers.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in testing or development; 5+ preferred.
• Experience in electronic testing/manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read test standards and specs.
• Hands-on with test, measurement and data acquisition equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop test methods and procedures to support production activities.
• Train technicians in correct use of test equipment and procedures.
• Investigate failed or fatigued electronic components and perform root cause analysis.
• Produce detailed technical test reports and communicate findings to project teams.
• Support ongoing development and improvement of production test processes.
• Liaise with internal departments, customers and external test facilities as required.
• Provide regular progress updates to the Engineering Manager.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues affecting production test capability.
• Undertake additional engineering duties as requested by the Engineering Manager.
