Job summary

LANXESS UK is seeking a technically skilled professional to collaborate with the Technical Operations Manager to optimise production processes, SOPs, and OEE reporting, while supporting shifts with troubleshooting.

The role involves handling quality hold materials, QC systems with the QC team, and contributing to capital projects, ensuring efficient operations and robust problem solving in a chemistry-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Chemistry degree required or highly desirable.
• 3–5 years relevant experience in a similar setting.
• Laboratory environment experience is preferred.
• Strong problem solving mindset is essential.
• Quality control (QC) experience is advantageous.
• Familiar with chemical manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Technical Operations Manager to improve production processes, SOPs and OEE reporting.
• Support the shifts by providing technical and troubleshooting support.
• Manage quality hold material reworks, and quality systems for the production plant with QC team.
• Provide technical support to capital projects.
• Provide QC support during busy periods and holidays.
