Job Details

Job Title: Production Technician (Shift)

Location: Rochester, Kent.

Salary: £32,700 + competitive shift allowance

What you'll be doing:

• 2 x 11.75 hour day shifts, 2 x 11.75 hour night shifts followed by 4 rest days
• Day shift hours of work are 7am to 7.15pm with a ½hr meal break. Night shift hours are 7pm to 7.15am with a ½ hr meal break
• Each shift consists of 3 Reliability Shakedown Test (RST) Technicians, operating test chambers and vibration equipment in the 4 separate areas of RST
• Technicians are required to set-up test chambers and vibration equipment, loading of test jigs, setting up of and operating test equipment (as defined in a test specification), and loading test subjects
• Manual Handling of loads
• Handling of static sensitive Components (training given)

The RST (Reliability Shakedown Test) team:

As a Production Technician, you will be part of a team of technicians responsible for supervising/operating environmental test facilities used to screen manufacturing defects on deliverable product, by carrying out temperature and vibration testing.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on state-of-the-art equipment including advance pilot control systems and advanced pilot displays as well as the chance to migrate/develop into other technician disciplines and gain a wider understanding of both the product functionality and the business unit.
