Job summary

Laborup is seeking a Production Technician to operate a cell of specialized machines, handle setups, and perform quality audits to ensure high quality parts. The role emphasizes coaching and strong fundamentals in manufacturing, with a focus on learning and continuous improvement.

The candidate should have 2+ years in manufacturing, a high school diploma, and be comfortable with repetitive tasks, measurements, and in‑process controls in a climate‑controlled environment.

Qualifications

• US Citizen or Permanent Resident required due to defense contractor regulations.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience of any sort.
• Highly coachable with strong attention to detail and consistent quality.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Operation – configure and operate a multi‑machine cell and perform full changeovers.
• Quality Audits & Tolerancing – in‑process inspections to verify visual specs and blueprints.
• In‑Process Controls & Adjustments – monitor and adjust machine programs and settings.
• Basic Maintenance & Cleanliness – maintain tooling and clean during changeovers to prevent cross‑contamination.
• Documentation & Tracking – weigh materials, separate scrap, and enter production data in ERP system.
• Safety & Teamwork – follow safety procedures and communicate across shifts.
