Location: Onsite in Milton Keynes

FTE: 12 months - with a strong potential for extension (Company average tenure over 4 years)

About the Role:

Planet Pharma is collaborating with a global pharmaceutical company dedicated to developing medicines, vaccines, and healthcare solutions for both human and animal health. The company is renowned for its innovative research in fields such as oncology, infectious diseases, and chronic conditions.

Objective:

The Production Technician is essential in manufacturing intermediates, ensuring compliance with Regulatory and GMP standards. This role involves hands-on production activities, including preparing, staging, and maintaining laboratory and mechanical equipment, while strictly following SOPs and GDP.

Key Responsibilities:

Environment, Health and Safety

• Participate in Safe by Choice discussions within Department Tier 1
• Model Safe by Choice and inclusive behaviors across Production and the broader organization
• Assist Management to ensure EHS compliance
• Contribute proactively to hazard identification, incident investigation, and corrective actions

Planning

• Assist in implementing production plans aligned with schedules, in consultation with the Lead Technician

Stock Control

• Monitor and maintain inventory, participate in returns and routine stock counts, including annual stocktake

Production Activities

• Follow SOPs and Batch Manufacturing Instructions (BMI)
• Participate in media and intermediate manufacturing activities
• Prepare, sterilize, and stage laboratory consumables
• Set up and operate machinery and equipment, ensuring they are fit for purpose
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on equipment
• Operate equipment per documentation and manufacturer instructions
• Identify equipment requiring repair or replacement

Requirements:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Willing to work onsite
• Basic computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Experience with SAP
• Strong communication skills
• Teamwork ability
• Adherence to SOPs
