The NHS is seeking a Production Technician - Higher Level to join a growing team responsible for preparing Ready to Administer IV medicines. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring compliance with SOPs, and maintaining high standards of service in a busy pharmacy manufacturing unit. Candidates should have relevant qualifications and experience, with opportunities for development and progression.
Weare looking for a Production or Pharmacy Technician Higher Level to join arapidly growing team that provides Ready to Administer IV medicines. Thesuccessful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of the day to dayrunning of a busy unit, including accuracy checking of medicines.
ThePharmacy Manufacturing Unit is based at Moor House and operates under an MHRAlicence. The service provides high quality pharmaceutical products for ourpatients whilst having no direct patient contact.
Toperform this role, you will need good manual dexterity and a high ability toconcentrate whilst maintaining accuracy. There is a requirement to wear PPE.
Applicantsmust have a Level 3 Science Manufacturing Qualification or an NVQ Level 3 inPharmacy Services or equivalent and be registered or eligible to registerwith the GPhC or the Science Council. Aseptic experience is desirable but notessential.

Thisrole involves the direct supervision of the preparation of Ready toAdminister IV medicines including pre, in-process and final accuracy checkingof products. You will also gain experience of working with Quality Systems aspart of this role including updating SOPs, raising non-conformances andcompleting investigations.
Youwill support the Specialist Technicians by organising and co-ordinating thestaff and workload whilst ensuring all batches are prepared according tostandard operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice. You will also be involved in training anddevelopment within the team and will gain experience of coaching andmentoring staff. Experience of training others may be beneficial.

Thepost is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week, to be worked flexibly over a4-day working week (Monday to Friday) but the post holder must work until 7pmas part of some of the shifts. You will also be expected to participate in aBank Holiday and Weekend rota

Manage,co-ordinate and prioritise workload and staff in a busy Licensed PharmacyManufacturing Unit on a daily basis.
Undertakeaccuracy checking duties including pre and in-process and post-productionchecking.
Supervisethe work of staff including trainees by maintaining standards of service,ensuring compliance with SOPs, completion of documentation and communicatingany changes in working practice.
